How Many Baby Items Can You Name: (Materials- pad of paper and pen for each woman). Have each woman write down as many baby products as they can name (bottle, blanket, pacifier, etc) within 5 minutes. Sure it is easy at the beginning, but towards the last few minutes, the women will start racking their brains for more :) Give a prize to the woman who gets the most baby products named!

Well, here's a couple of games played at my shower.

Take some disposable (or cloth) diapers, one for each guest. In one of the diapers, put a healthy glob of peanut butter and fold it back up, nice and tight. Then put the diapers in a bag. Pass the bag around and have each guest pick and open one. The one who gets the dirty diaper, gets a door prize! (My hubby got the dirty diaper at my shower ;-)

Here's another: Get a real-life (or as close as possible) doll, one that you can change the clothes. Have each guest take their turn at changing/dressing the doll, while other assigned guests create distractions.. e.g. call out: phone is ringing, doorbell, cat fell in the toilet, food in oven is burning, etc... get creative. You can put these distractions on pieces of paper, pass them in a hat or the host can call them out.

Use your stop-watch to time each guest that participates and the one who can get the baby diapered/changed in the shortest time wins a door prize! (Leaving baby unattended on a couch or changing table is GONGED and disqualified tehehe)

We just had my daughter's second shower and we numbered baby food jars and took off the label. The guest had to guess what kind of food it was by looking!

I'm sure many of you have played the clothes pin game. We just had my daughter's shower and everyone got a small plastic pastel clothes pin that they clipped on. Every time someone said "Baby" they had to give up their clothes pin to the person that caught them. They also had to put a penny in a piggy bank that we had sitting on the gift table. This is a good start to the college fund!

A fun game to play is to get several diapers and fill them with, shall we say, stinky stuff. Fold up the diapers and allow guest to smell the diapers and try to guess what's inside. Some ideas for "stinky stuff" could be; pickle relish, mustard, fish bait, etc. Don't forget to have a camera ready to record the funny faces!
Decorating for a baby shower can be a lot of fun. One thing I have done is to put a votive in a baby food jar for a center piece. Be careful though. Some facilities do not allow you to burn candles.
